On July 4, 2026, America celebrates its 250th anniversary. Gather Place Museum is thrilled to introduce “George Jackets,” a fun and imaginative line of jackets inspired by General George Washington, celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. Developed through Gather Place Museum Executive Director Shirley Lee Corsey's HistoryWearz™ brand, these jackets are available in adult and children’s sizes, as well as for Pug breed dogs and 18" dolls like American Girl, Our Life, and New Generation dolls!
These jackets are designed as playful, history-inspired pieces for families to enjoy together, rather than as authentic replicas of Washington’s attire.
As a nonprofit affiliate of America 250PA, Gather Place Museum launched this fundraiser to support the preservation and sharing of Yardley’s and our region’s history. Proceeds from “George Jacket” sales directly fund our educational programs and preservation work, ensuring that stories of abolitionist heroes, women’s suffrage activists, civil rights leaders, and other historical changemakers remain accessible to inspire future generations.
